The third provincial edition of the Défi têtes rasées is at our footsteps. Initially aimed at raising a regions consciousness, the first Défi was issued by Serge Tremblay in 2001. The businessman from Montérégie had been touched by the extent of the challenge children with cancer must take on when they start their fight against the disease. He wanted to show solidarity and support them in an effective manner.
To play down the loss of hair of young people with cancer, two members of iXores team will take on the challenge of the Défi têtes rasées Leucan. On Sunday June 11, Marco Roy, partner and sales manager, and Benjamin Veilleux, IT development manager, will place their heads full of hair in the expert hands of the events volunteer hairdressers, and leave with a hairless head full of hope.
The Défi têtes rasées is a cause in which we wanted to invest; it solicits the generosity of the population and also requires that participants display courage. Indeed, a shaven head will have a direct impact on their life for a few weeks. If iXores action could help but one child suffering from this cruel disease courageously fight during treatment, we will have reached our goal.
We invite you to come cheer us on on June 11 at the Carrefour Saint-Georges and to send us your donations before this date so we can hand them to Leucan.
